Local public library legislative breakfast

The libraries in Wayland, Sudbury, Acton, Maynard and Stow co-sponsored a legislative breakfast at the Wayland Free Public Library. Legislators met with Librarians, Trustees, Municipal Officials, and officers from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the MA Center for the Book. Discussions of current challenges, projects, visions and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners Legislative Agenda for FY2025 were discussed.

It was inspiring to see so many library folks showing-up to support one of our most important building in town. Libraries change lives and are the great equalizer: serving all ages, education levels, income levels, ethnicity providing resources that they might not otherwise afford.
