Rep. Hogan was invited to share an update on the Commonwealth’s efforts to combat PFAS contamination, including the her legislation, the Mass PFAS Act.
Rep. Hogan was delighted to attend and update OARS and the Sudbury Valley Trust on PFAS as local and state issue. For the past 30+ years, OARS has conducted important water quality monitoring for the three rivers: the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord (SuAsCo) rivers. OARS has guided, advocated for, and monitored the transformation of our 3 (SuAsCo) rivers from clogged watercourses with foul-smelling biomass to the scenic rivers we all know and love today. The SuAsCo rivers and their tributaries now provide natural beauty and water resources as they pass through the 399-square-mile watershed and its 33 towns and three cities within easy reach of greater Boston.
Rep. Hogan was also happy to have the opportunity to share updates at Green Hudson‘s Climate Cafe. Green Hudson was founded in 2018 by a group of Hudson residents concerned about environmental issues ranging from recycling to conservation and energy policy, Green Hudson seeks to help the town become more environmentally friendly, through outreach, education, and direct action.
